How to deploy a v0 app with a database
v0 generates modern web apps, usually Next.js with React. To run one on hosting you choose, with a real database, get the code into a folder and let an AI coding tool prepare it with one Project3000 prompt.
In short: open an AI coding tool on your project folder, paste the Project3000 prompt from your dashboard, approve its steps, then click Deploy. Your app is live on an HTTPS link with a database included, from $9.90 per month.
Before you start
- Your app's code in a folder on your computer (downloaded from v0).
- An AI coding tool that works in your project folder: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Gemini CLI.
- A Project3000 account. Creating one takes a minute.
Deploy your v0 project, step by step
- Create your account at project3000.io with Google or email, and set up two-factor sign-in (it takes a minute).
- Choose a package and create the app. Its name becomes its address:
your-name.apps.project3000.io. - Download the v0 project (or add it to a local folder with its CLI), then open the folder in Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Gemini CLI, with approval turned on, so it asks before it runs each command. The “See how” links in the dashboard show where both settings are.
- Copy the prompt from your dashboard and paste it into your AI tool. It reads your project, adds the two files Project3000 needs (a Dockerfile and a
manifest.json), connects the app to its included database and cache, and uploads it. Approve each step when your AI tool asks. - Click Deploy. Your app goes live on its own HTTPS link and runs as two copies on separate servers. Share the link with anyone.
Tips for v0 projects
- v0 apps are usually Next.js: they run as one Node.js service, which fits the Basic package for small apps.
- If the app keeps data only in the browser, ask your AI to save it in the included database instead.
- Keep approval on, so your AI tool asks before each command. In fully automatic modes an AI tool may refuse to send files to an outside address, so the upload never arrives.
What your app gets
Its own PostgreSQL-compatible database and Redis-compatible cache, a free HTTPS certificate, two copies on separate servers with automatic recovery, and a link to share. Pro and Business apps can use your own domain.
