Connect your own domain to your app

Every app starts on its own your-name.apps.project3000.io address. On Pro and Business you can also use your own domain, with HTTPS set up for you.

In short: in the dashboard, open the app and choose Change domain. Add the two DNS records it shows at your domain provider. When they are found, the HTTPS certificate is issued automatically.

Steps

  1. Buy or choose a domain at any registrar (for example Cloudflare, Namecheap or GoDaddy).
  2. In your dashboard, open the app and choose Change domain. Enter the domain, for example myapp.com or app.mycompany.com.
  3. Add the two records it shows at your DNS provider: a TXT record that proves the domain is yours, and the record that points the domain to your app (a CNAME for a subdomain, an A record for a root domain).
  4. Wait for the check. When both records are found, the certificate is issued and the domain shows as connected. The www address is included.

Remove any AAAA (IPv6) records for the domain: they would send some visitors to the wrong place. The Change domain window reminds you.

Which packages include a domain

Pro ($24.90) and Business ($49.90) include one domain plus its www address. Basic apps use their project3000.io address.
