How to move a Replit app to Project3000

Before you start

• Your app's code in a folder on your computer (downloaded from Replit).
• An AI coding tool that works in your project folder: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Gemini CLI.
• A Project3000 account. Creating one takes a minute.

Deploy your Replit project, step by step

1. Create your account at project3000.io with Google or email, and set up two-factor sign-in (it takes a minute).
2. Choose a package and create the app. Its name becomes its address: your-name.apps.project3000.io.
3. Download the project from Replit as a ZIP, unzip it into a folder and open it in Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, with approval turned on, so it asks before it runs each command. The “See how” links in the dashboard show where both settings are.
4. Copy the prompt from your dashboard and paste it into your AI tool. It reads your project, adds the two files Project3000 needs (a Dockerfile and a manifest.json), connects the app to its included database and cache, and uploads it. Approve each step when your AI tool asks.
5. Click Deploy. Your app goes live on its own HTTPS link and runs as two copies on separate servers. Share the link with anyone.

Tips for Replit projects

• If the app uses Replit’s own database or storage, ask your AI to move the data to the included PostgreSQL-compatible database.
• Secrets you set in Replit are not in the download: have them at hand when the AI asks for them.

Its own PostgreSQL-compatible database and Redis-compatible cache, a free HTTPS certificate, two copies on separate servers with automatic recovery, and a link to share. Pro and Business apps can use your own domain.
