Why you still need your own backup

Good hosting keeps copies of everything to survive disasters. Your own backup protects you from the things a host can’t undo for you: a bad update, a deleted record, a mistake.

In short: download a full copy before every big change. On Project3000 the Download button gives you the code, files and a database dump that restores into any PostgreSQL, in one ZIP.

What a host’s backups are for

Project3000 keeps backups for disaster recovery: if something goes badly wrong in our systems, we can restore them. They are not a service for undoing changes in your app, and they may not include the last few minutes.

How to make your own

  1. Open your dashboard and choose Download on the app.
  2. Keep the ZIP somewhere safe: your computer and a cloud drive.
  3. Do it before every redeploy that changes how data is stored.

Your project folder is a backup of the code too. A Git repository makes it even easier to go back to an earlier version.

Put your app online today

One prompt in the AI you already use, one click to deploy. A database, HTTPS and a link you can share are included. From $9.90 per app per month.
